Steps to resolving your dispute

Conflicts are inevitable in human interaction. At GDR, we provide you the necessary tools to resolve that conflict without having to spend a fortune.

Contact Other Party:
Your first course of action should be to contact the person with whom you have the conflict to attempt to resolve it on your own. You can do this by writing a letter explaining your grievances or a simple phone call. All contact should be documented. If you are able to resolve the conflict through this method, congratulations! If not, move on to the next step.

Choose a Method of Dispute Resolution:
If the party with which you have the conflict does not respond, does not want to resolve the conflict, or you are unable to contact them, your next course of action should be to decide if you need a mediator and/or an attorney.

If your dispute is under $10,000 or has no monetary value you should try to resolve your dispute  by contacting one of GDR's mediators. In addition, you may want to consult an expert witness if there are complex issues that you feel would be better explained by an expert in the field.

If your dispute is above $10,000 and/or you feel that there would be an unequal balance of power without representation, you should contact an attorney. The attorney will guide you as to what the law is in your state, as well as represent your side in the dispute.
